Chair of the Bar Visit

We were delighted to host the Chair of the Bar Samuel Townend KC today as part of his visit to the Wales and Chester Circuit. Discussions were had about remote working, legal aid, underfunded Coroner Courts and fixed fees in PI cases and a great deal of discussion centred around Family Law - issues discussed include counsel shortages and advocacy training, and more. The Chair along with the Leader of the Circuit, our Caroline Rees KC, then visited Cardiff Crown Court’s robing room to discuss issues facing criminal practitioners at the Bar
