ICLR Pupillage Award

Congratulations to Emma Meadows who has been selected as the winner of the ICLR Pupillage Award 2024. 

The Incorporated Council of Law Reporting for England and Wales (ICLR) provides an annual bursary worth £13,000 based on a combination of financial need and merit. 

As part of the application process following shortlisting, Emma wrote a headnote in the style of the Weekly Law Reports for BR v SN [2024] EWHC 1512 (Fam). This case concerned the application of Hadkinson orders in Children Act cases, and whether the paramountcy principle of the welfare of the child must be considered by any judge deciding whether to grant an application to enforce the payment of costs under a Hadkinson order.
