30 Park Place is home to an impressive team of Immigration and Asylum practitioners. Members of the Immigration Team routinely appear in both First Tier and Upper Tier Tribunals in Newport, Birmingham and London as well as representing Appellants in the Court of Appeal and in Judicial Review applications.
Members of the team undertake all aspects of Tribunal work including immigration, nationality, asylum, deportation and human rights, as well as defending an individual’s rights under other international conventions, such as the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Practitioners regularly advise and represent both Local Authorities and individuals in respect of ancillary immigration matters such as the provision of funding to adult and child asylum seekers, age assessments and the return of illegal immigrants to their countries of origin.
Members of the team are currently involved in Country Guidance cases as well as a number of ongoing Judicial Review and Court of Appeal cases dealing with the interpretation and application of non-statutory policies.
